About this Course

Learn how to build the popular 555 Timer Circuit. Many artists utilize a 555 Timer to create automated events in their installations. These circuits are simple, easy to prepare and incredibly useful for a wide range of applications. In this introductory workshop you'll learn how to create timed on-and-off switches, strobes and a noise-maker. We explore the different ways you can trigger an event through switches, magnetism or light. The class will cover blinking LEDS, dimming LEDS and a noise generator. Suitable for adult or kid makers and inventors who are interested in space and time. The instructor is experienced with teaching at different levels. We'll also look a the history of temporal and interactive art! All materials are included in your fee.
