About this Course

Be inspired by local artists with a social drop-in art workshop, featuring a new project or theme each week. Take creative risks, use your imagination and have fun as you practice your skills or learn something new. All supplies will be provided. Presented in partnership with: Arts New West Priscila Holtz - Papel Picado In this workshop participants will learn how to make papel picado, a traditional Mexican decoration of cut paper, usually made into a colourful banner. Using only tissue paper and scissors, we’ll create a variety of fun and easy designs. While papel picado is used for most festivities, it’s especially iconic for Day of the Dead, so don’t miss out.
