Learn programming and circuitry basics with accessibility in mind. Accessible design creates objects and experiences that can be enjoyed by people with different abilities. There will be exercises designed to help kids empathize with the challenges of different levels of motor control, vision or hearing abilities and invent solutions for the future. We will learn how to hack electronic toys and program them with game controllers. This workshop will provide both digital and hand making skills related to creating accessible toys and aids. It can be taken in-person at New Media Gallery or online and comes with a kit to be picked up at New Media Gallery.
