About this Course

In this 2 day course on 3D scanning and printing, students will learn how to scan a 3D image of themselves, use 3D modelling software to modify their scans and then print their creations using a 3D printer. The students will begin by 3D scanning a bust of themselves and learning how to view their scan in virtual space. They will next go through the process of modelling their busts into a full body representation of themselves and prepare their model for 3D printing. Throughout the process we will discuss how technology can be used for replication and self representation. Bring a USB drive.
