For women who are creating and experimenting at the intersection of art and technology. This session will offer a hands-on opportunity to experiment with creative art-making technologies using computers and other interfaces. Participants will be exposed to various media art practices such as creative coding, electronics, and circuitry. They will learn to make an instrument which controls sound and video using programs such as gibber and pure data along with game controllers and other hardware. They will also build a simple synthesizer for performance and move through the workshop as part of a collaborative process. The outcomes will then be applied to a future workshop series.
